Crowns and Bridges

Bridges

Dental bridges serve the purpose of filling gaps resulting from one or more missing teeth. This type of restoration consists of two crowns, referred to as abutment teeth, on either side of the gap, with a false tooth (pontic) in between.

Reasons for a fixed bridge:

  • Fill space of missing teeth
  • Prevent the remaining teeth from moving out of alignment
  • Restore chewing and speaking ability
  • Restore your smile
  • Switch from using a removable partial denture to a lasting permanent dental prosthesis

Crowns

A dental crown is a dental restoration that covers or encircles the entirety of a tooth or placed on a dental implant. They are usually bonded or cemented to a tooth using a dental cement, and can be either screw retained or cemented to an implant. Our clinic commonly use crowns to enhance the strength or appearance of teeth.

Reasons for crowns:

  • Broken or fractured teeth
  • Cosmetic enhancement
